David Millner

David Millner (born July 24, 1938) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler who played for Derbyshire between 1960 and 1964. He was born in Dove Holes.
Millner's career in the Second XI started in 1959, having represented the Second XI in the Minor Counties Championship since the age of 16. He moved up to the first team in the following season, making his debut against Worcestershire, at the beginning of a promising 1960 season for Derbyshire, as the team finished in fifth place, and he hit one of his two half-century innings. He played well in the following season, and Derbyshire were able to compete once again, in a comfortable mid-table position.
Millner spent 1962 out of first-class cricket, though he spent a small period of time covering in the Second XI. He came back to the Derbyshire team a year later and played a small number of games in the first team, though this didn't stop Derbyshire from staying rooted to the bottom of the table all season, and, with Millner underperforming in his last game for the club, he was swiftly out of the team.
Millner was a lower-order batsman for the Derbyshire team in the early 1960s, though he rarely bowled for the Derbyshire team. He exited in the 1963 season, as Derbyshire once again stayed rooted to the bottom of the championship.
