David Michael Maurer

David Michael Maurer (born April 17, 1977) is an American Television and Film Editor/Director. As one of the youngest editors in primetime reality television, his work has been experienced by hundreds of millions of viewers on such shows as "Profiles From The Front Line", "Paradise Hotel", "Joe Millionaire 2", and "The Apprentice". Mr. Maurer garnished 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 Emmy Award Nominations for his work on "The Apprentice" as well as a Cine Golden Eagle award for his work on the short film Blackmailing Santa. In addition to editing, Mr. Maurer has studied Meisner technique with film/television coach Andrew Benne and story with Hollywood guru Robert McKee.
Maurer also edited/directed a documentary titled "The Legacy of Dr. Seuss" for The Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose. He can be heard on the podcast "Project1982.com - FILMSCHOOL"
