[edit] Career
McGowan signed a professional contract with the club in the summer of 2006, and made his debut in Clyde's last game of the 2006-07 season as a substitute, against Dundee.
McGowan signed a two year contract extension in July 2007, which will keep him at the club until 2009.[1]
McGowan has surprisingly been used as a lone striker in several games under Colin Hendry. He scored his first senior goal, which turned out to be the winning goal in a Scottish First Division match against Dundee on 22 August 2007. He scored his second goal the following week, in a 4-2 defeat at Livingston.
