David Magnum

David "Dave" Magnum (born December 25, 1962) is the owner of Magnum Radio / TV Group and has twice been the Republican candidate for U.S. Congress challenging incumbent Democrat Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin's 2nd congressional district. Magnum ran against Baldwin in 2004 & 2006 and lost with 37% of the vote both times.

Magnum was born in Chicago and raised in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; he now resides in Portage, Wisconsin. His birth name was David Weiss which he later changed. Magnum is widowed and has two children. His wife died of breast cancer. Magnum is a 1981 graduate of Wisconsin Dells High School (graduated after Junior year to work full time) and later briefly attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
