David Lockington

David Lockington (born 1956, Dartford) is currently the music director of the Grand Rapids Symphony, a regional orchestra located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, U.S..[1] Lockington assumed this position in January 1999. During his tenure in Grand Rapids, Lockington has also served as the music director for the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra (1996-2000), the Long Island Philharmonic (1995-2000) and the Modesto Symphony Orchestra (2007-2012).
Lockington holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Cambridge and a master's degree in cello performance form Yale University.
