David Lees Kitson

David Lees Kitson, (1925-2002), Cricketer

He was born on 13th September 1925 in Batley, Yorkshire and died on 6th May 2002 in Ilminster, Somerset.

Although a Yorkshireman Kitson moved to the west country at the end of the Second World War. He was a right-handed batsman, known as a prolific run-scorer, who played 32 games scoring 882 runs for Somerset CCC (County Cricket Club) between 1952 and 1954. He subsequently moved to South Africa before returning to the west country where he excelled at bowls.
