David Kitt (born in 1975 in Dublin, Ireland) is an Irish Choice Music Prize nominated [1] musician. Kitt grew up surrounded by music, as his father and uncles formed a successful touring folk group when he was young. He began performing live sets while studying at Trinity College, Dublin, where he completed a postgraduate course in music technology. He then recorded and mixed the eight tracks of his debut release in his bedroom, whilst his last release Not Fade Away was produced by Tore Johansson, Karl Odlum and himself, and was issued on October 30, 2006. Soon to be released is a special limited CD at his forthcoming Irish & UK shows. The CD will not be available anywhere else. Misfits Volume 1 is the first installment in a series and features rare and unreleased tracks which didn't make his official album releases. David is currently working with his brother Rob on a collaboration known as Spilly Walker, whereby David is known as Spilly and Rob as Schooly. An release is expected in late 2007/early 2008. They have played some live gigs with the new material including Electric Picnic where the possible future release "Let The Freak Come Out At Night" was received with delight.
His father Tom is a Fianna Fáil TD, and current Government Chief Whip.
