David Khayat (born August 27, 1956) is the President of French Cancer National Institute (from 2004).
He studied at the university of Nice from 1974 to 1980; a few years later, he got a Master of Science in the field of tumor immunology.
He became the head of the department of medical oncology at Pitié - Salpêtrière hospital in 1990. In this period, he did many interesting studies about tumor immunology.
He’s currently doing many studies concerning new agents that can be useful in the treatment of breast, colorectal, lung cancers and melanoma.
He is married with three daughters.
