David Keith Jordan (born 1985 in Barnet, London) is an English singer-songwriter.

Born to a mother from Montserrat and a father from Calcutta, Jordan has been writing pop-rock songs since he was 11 (after his parents split). Growing up his music idol was Prince.[1] After spending the first nine years of his life in North London, Jordan chose to live with his grandmother in Enfield when his parents split up, until he moved into a council flat in Finchley aged 16.[2]

As a teenager, Jordan associated with a group of young hopefuls signed to Simon Fuller's 19 management company, including a young Amy Winehouse, with whom he remained friends.[1]

Jordan was obsessed with songwriting and a gaining a record deal.[1] He would study drama at college during the day, work at Starbucks in New Oxford Street in the evening, and then work on songs with his producer friend Jack Freegard at Fortress Studios in Old Street.[1]

Jordan’s debut album, Set the Mood, produced by Trevor Horn, was released on 29 October 2007.

Jordan performed "Sun Goes Down", from his Set the Mood album at the Royal Variety Performance 2007. "Sun Goes Down" made the BBC Radio 1 A playlist on 21st January 2008, and was performed on Al Murray's Happy Hour on the 25th.

On 19th April 2008, Jordan recorded a set for the Nokia Green Room along with other bands such as The Script and Akala which is due to be shown on T4 on Sunday 4th May at 1.35pm.

On Monday 5th May 2008, he appeared on Loose Women and performed "Move On".

On 14th May 2008 he appeared on Jo Whiley's show on BBC Radio 1 and made controversial claims about pop stars (like himself) being very hard working by putting in long hours, and generally having a tougher time than nurses, doctors or firefighters.
