David Jeremiah

Dr. David P. Jeremiah (born February 13, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio) is an American conservative evangelist and is currently the senior pastor of Shadow Mountain Community Church. Shadow Mountain Community Church is in El Cajon, California, which is in East San Diego county. Jeremiah succeeded former pastor Tim LaHaye in 1981.
Jeremiah graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Master's in Theology in 1967 and received a Doctor of Divinity degree from Cedarville College in 1981[1]. Jeremiah's leadership of the church has led to an affiliation with the Southern Baptist Convention.
Jeremiah broadcasts a daily evangelical radio program on stations worldwide through his Turning Point Ministries. The broadcast can also be heard online. He is also an author of numerous books on Christian theology topics such as the rapture.

In 1994 and again in 1998, Jeremiah was diagnosed with lymphoma. In 1999, a nodule was surgically removed from his neck and he underwent stem cell transplant therapy. [1] [2]
