David Jennings (bishop)

David Willfred Michael Jennings has been the Anglican Bishop of Warrington since 2000[1]. Educated at Radley and King's College London [2] before embarking on a curacies at Walton-on-the-Hill [3] and Christchurch Priory he acquired his own parish at Hythe in 1969. Further pastoral posts lead to his appointment as the Rural Dean of Havering in 1985 and 7 years later Archdeacon of Southend. His pastoral dedication over many years was rewarded with elevation to the episcopate in the Millennium Year[4]. An inspirational preacher[5] he is also a member of the Court of Liverpool University[6].
