David Henderson (broadcaster)

David Henderson is a reporter and presenter with BBC Scotland.
He reports for the station's main news programmes and in recent years has also presented BBC News Scotland's programmes like Reporting Scotland, The Politics Show, Holyrood Live, and Scotland at 10. David has also acted as BBC Scotland's Health Correspondent.
Henderson acted as a commentator in BBC Radio Scotland's live broadcast of Scotland v Pakistan ODI cricket match in 2006.

Henderson studied law at Aberdeen University, graduating with a 2:1 Honours Degree in Scots Law. His Honours dissertation focussed on the Government's power to deport people on the grounds of National Security. Henderson also has a Diploma in Legal Practice, and a Diploma in Broadcast Journalism.
Before becoming a journalist, Henderson trained and qualified as a lawyer, specialising in civil and criminal court practice. He appeared as a defence lawyer in criminal cases at Edinburgh Sheriff Court. He's also conducted civil claims. He also instructed Advocates in civil and criminal court cases in Scotland's supreme courts.

David is a keen climber, hillwalker and back-packer. He's written for The Great Outdoors Magazine, and in 2006, he co-wrote "Philip's Guide to Mountains"
