David Heilpern

David Heilpern, is an Australian lawyer and author.

David Heilpern is a Magistrate of New South Wales formerly a solicitor and barrister with the Australian Government Solicitor and in private practice specialises in criminal law. He is the son of former Byron Shire Councillor, Sandra Heilpern. He is the recipient of the Southern Cross University’s Alumnus of the Decade Award.[1] One of Magistrate Heilpern's recent sittings was in April 13, 2006 regarding a maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent charge.[2] Heilpern is the author of over twenty journal articles and four books.
