David Hayes (born May 24, 1976) is a professional soccer player for the Atlanta Silverbacks. He also coaches the U-14 Alpharetta Ambush boys team. He played in Major League Soccer for D.C. United (1999-2000) and the Chicago Fire (2001).
David played for Charles County Community College, (now known as The College of Southern Maryland) in 1995 and 1996. The Charles County Community College "Hawks" are an NJCAA Division One team in the Region 20. He was the Captain of the team and took them to the Nationals both years playing. He was selected 1st Team All American both years and set the National Scoring Record in 1996 with over 50 goals. He was more than just a play maker and goal scorer, he also was a team player and leader that was highly looked up to by all others in the league for his outstanding sportsmanship.
