David E. Guinan (born in Philadelphia) is a writer, producer and director. In 1998, he joined MTV Networks]. In 2001, he left MTV to launch Polemic Media Productions, and has created documentaries on a wide range of subjects. The Interviews, a documentary on the New York and Los Angeles hip-hop scenes, was awarded Best Documentary by the Brooklyn Underground Film Festival. He currently produces documentaries, music videos and animation, which have been broadcast by a wide number of networks.
