John David Gaskell, (born October 5, 1940 in Orrell, Lancashire, England) is an English former football goalkeeper. Gaskell started his career as a youth player with Manchester United. He helped United win several trophies during the 1960s. He left the club for Wrexham A.F.C. in June 1969.
John was well known for his field runs from the eighteen yard box, however most of the time the ball ended up in his own net.
John is now happily settled in Brisbane city with two children, he is well known throughout the city for his ambitious town planning projects.
