David Garrido

David Garrido is a journalist who works for the BBC. His regular job is presenting the sport during Newsbeat on BBC Radio One. He also occasionally presents sport on BBC News and BBC World News. This was his main job until taking up his job on Newsbeat. He also occasionally does sport on the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show, the BBC Radio 1Xtra Max show and reports live from football matches for Final Score.
He began his career on student radio at the University of Oxford, where he presented a sports show between 1998 and 2001. He won a BBC Talent competition in November 2000.
