David García de la Cruz, (born 16 January 1981 in Manresa) is a football player from Spain. He plays defender for RCD Espanyol in La Liga, usually at left back.
A product of the Espanyol youth system, he made his debut on January 9, 2000 and has been a regular first team member ever since. He is second captain after Raúl Tamudo, the only player to have been on Espanyol's books for longer.
He has a contract until June 2009, and has said he intends to see out his career with Espanyol, saying "I can't imagine myself wearing any other shirt."[1]
