David G. Roskies

David G. Roskies is the Sol and Evelyn Henkind Chair in Yiddish Literature and Culture and Professor of Jewish Literature at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America.
He is the author of numerous books, including Against the Apocalypse (1984) and A Bridge of Longing: The Lost Art of Yiddish Storytelling (1998). A native of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Roskies now resides in New York City.
In 2006, he was named the United States Holocaust Museum Scholar in Residence.
