David Frankel (born April 2, 1959; New York City, New York) is a American director, screenwriter and executive producer. He is the son of Max Frankel, a former executive editor and later a columnist for The New York Times.
On June 12, 2007, Frankel acted as a guest judge in FOX's reality competition On the Lot.
He originally began college at Bard College, but later transferred to the California Institute of the Arts to study film.
