David John Forbes (born January 26, 1934) is an Olympic-level sailor, who has competed for Australia in the 1968 Summer Olympics, in the 1972 Summer Olympics, and in the 1976 Summer Olympics.
In 1968 he was the helmsman of the Australian boat which won finished eighth in the Star class.
Four years later he won the gold medal as helmsman of the Australian boat in the Star class.
In 1976 he was the helmsman of the Australian boat which won finished eleventh in the Soling class.
Forbes attended Newington College (1943-1949). [1]
