David Fanning (musicologist)

Professor David Fanning is a professor of music at the University of Manchester. He is a world-renowned expert on the musics of Dmitri Shostakovich, Carl Nielsen and Soviet music.
As well as being a senior musicologist, he is also the pianist with The Quatuor Danel and a reviewer for the Daily Telegraph, Gramophone and BBC Radio 3.
