David Engel

David Engel (?-present) is an American historian and Professor of Holocaust and Judaic Studies at New York University. Dr. Engel holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed postdoctoral study at Hebrew University's Division of Holocaust Studies, Institute for Contemporary Jewry , in Jerusalem.[1]

David Engel is Fellow of Diaspora Research Institute, Tel Aviv University and a member of Carnegie Commission on Ethics and International Affairs and Commission on Polish-Jewish Relations, since 2002.[2]

In 1986-7 David Engel received Outstanding Lecturer honours at Faculty of Tel Aviv University and Golden Dozen Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching at New York University in 1996.[2]
