David E Keyes

David E. Keyes is the Fu Foundation Professor of Applied Mathematics at Columbia University, an affiliate of the computational science activities at Argonne, Brookhaven, and Oak Ridge National Laboratories, and Acting Director of the Institute for Scientific Computing Research at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. He received his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University in 1984.

In 2007, Keyes was awarded the IEEE Sidney Fernbach Award for "outstanding contributions to the development of scalable numerical algorithms for the solution of nonlinear partial differential equations and exceptional leadership in high-performance computation."
