David Degen (born February 15, 1983 in Hölstein) is a Swiss footballer currently playing for FC Basel, mostly as a right midfielder. He is half Dutch as his mother is from the Netherlands. His twin brother Philipp Degen is also a player, currently with Liverpool F.C..

Degen started his career at FC Aarau in 2000 before joining his brother, Philipp, at FC Basel in 2003. He moved to German Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2006. However, after the club's relegation into the 2nd Bundesliga, Borussia manager Jos Luhukay loaned him out to his former club, FC Basel for the 2007/08 season. His M'gladbach contract running until June 30, 2009.

Degen was selected for the Swiss 2006 World Cup squad. However, he only played in the warmup games. He was left out of the squad to play at Euro 2008.
