David Common

David Common is a Canadian journalist. He is a CBC News correspondent based in France.

He was born in Winnipeg but grew up in Toronto where he attended Jarvis Collegiate Institute^[1] and York University . He studied International Security Issues at Stockholm University in Sweden. ^[2]

David Common has worked for CTV News^[3] and CBC News^[4] . He began with the CBC at the London bureau, moving later to Toronto, Fredericton, Regina and eventually back to Toronto as a National Reporter before being posted to Paris, France in 2006. In Paris, he is a videojournalist; shooting, editing and reporting his stories.

He has filed reports from across Canada, the United States and Europe, as well as helped cover conflicts in Haiti, Afghanistan and Iraq.
