David Brown (born February 1, 1985 in Hamilton, Ontario) is a professional ice hockey goaltender in the Pittsburgh Penguins organization. Brown was drafted by the Penguins in the 8th round, 228th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Before playing professional, Brown played four seasons for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and was named MVP in 2006. He was a finalist for the 2007 Hobey Baker Award, which is awarded to the top collegiate player in the country.

Brown progressed through the Hamilton minor hockey ranks to the Provincial A Kilty Bees. Then to Notre Dame. He was originally drafted by the Mississauga Ice Dogs of the OHL (Ontario Hockey League), where he was their fifth round selection in the 2001 draft from the Kilty Bees.

He is an alumnus of Bishop Ryan Catholic Secondary School in Hamilton, Ontario.
