David Bingham

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

David Thomas Bingham (born 3 September 1970 in Dunfermline) is a Scottish footballer currently without a club after being made redundant by Scottish Premier League club Gretna.

Bingham began his career at St Johnstone in 1991 before moving to Forfar Athletic and Dunfermline Athletic. He banged in the goals at his next club, Livingston, where he enjoyed a great 2001-2002 season, when he scored a hatful of goals. In 2003, he moved to Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2003, where he won the First Division Championship. Instead of staying in the Scottish Premier League with Inverness, he decided to drop down to the Third Division, with Gretna. In January 2001 he was wanted by the then Premiership outfit Charlton F.C but no deal could be agreed between the two clubs (Livingston and Charlton).

He joined Queen of the South on a six month loan deal on the 9 July and returned to Gretna in January 2008, before being made redundant among several other players in March 2008.
