David Bennett (born 1962 in Greer, South Carolina) is the current head coach of the Coastal Carolina University college football team. Bennett earned his Bachelor's Degree in History and Social Studies from Presbyterian in 1984. He then added a Guidance and Counseling Master's Degree from Clemson.

Bennett was named the head coach of the Chanticleers as part of the launch of a program beginning at the Division I-AA level.

Before arriving at CCU, Bennett was head coach at Division II Catawba College. He also had served as an assistant coach at Clemson University.
