David Basheer

David Basheer is a football commentator and presenter on SBS the Australian television network. He was born in Adelaide, South Australia He regularly appears on The World Game Australia's premier football show.

David took over as host of The World Game following the departure of former host Andrew Orsatti.

He was formerly a host and commentator with ESPN Star Sports in Asia handling UEFA Champions League and Formula 1.

David also has extensive commentary experience covering major international events including the last 3 Olympic Games, 2 Commonwealth Games, Tour de France, World Championships of Athletics and several Grand Slam Tennis events.

Basheer will commentate the 2007/2008 UEFA Champions League final between Manchester United and Chelsea on SBS .

He was educated at Prince Alfred College.
