David Lane, also known as Davey Lane (born on January 31st, 1981), is an Australian musician, lead guitarist of You Am I (since 1999), and frontman of The Pictures. He is also a guitarist in Australian supergroup The Wrights, who performed at Waveaid in aid of the Boxing Day Tsunami, presented at the Sydney Cricket Ground on January 29th 2005. In 2005 Lane also joined Jimmy Barnes' band, and released The Pictures debut L.P, "Pieces of Eight". In 2006, Lane was nominated for Best Male Guitarist at the Jack Awards, for his work with You Am I. In 2007, he joined Crowded House for their tour in Europe and Australia, temporarily replacing Neil Finn's son Liam on lead guitar.

- Lane has made multiple appearances on talk shows and musical presentation programs such as Rove Live, Rockwiz, JTV (now known as Triple J tv), The Carnival with Roy and HG, The Fat, Studio 22, The Gig, 10:30 Slot, as well as getting the honorable privilege of programming the music video program Rage (ABC) with You Am I in 2006.
