David (Davey) Beauchamp is a librarian, author[citation needed], editor[citation needed], anthologist[citation needed], and voice actor.
Beauchamp is the editor and anthologist of the Writers for Relief Anthology (which continues to raise money[neutrality disputed] to help victims of hurricanes Katrina and Rita). Many bestselling as well as Hugo and/or Nebula award-winning SF&F authors contributed short stories to this anthology including: Larry Niven, Brian W. Aldiss, Nancy Kress, Joe Haldeman, as well as the longtime editor of Asimovs Science Fiction magazine, Gardner Dozois.
Beauchamp is also the creator and writer of the ongoing audio series Amazing Pulp Adventures, Starring Mister Adventure. A campy, comedy/drama reminiscent of early superhero comic books, performed in the style of 1940's radio plays[neutrality disputed]. In 2006 this series was nominated for a Parsec Award in the category "Best Audio Drama-Long Form". The series is produced by Rich Sigfrit with a full cast of voice actors (which sometimes includes Beauchamp) and is released in podcast format. The series is based on Beauchamp's young adult novel of the same name[citation needed].
He is also the author of the Agency 32 series, and was recently hired to write a rock opera based on the legend of Blue Beard the pirate[citation needed].
His personal appearance schedule regularly includes several popular science fiction conventions such as DragonCon and ConCarolinas where he speaks on panels, teaches in workshops for aspiring authors, and sometimes records audio-dramas written by himself or others while performing them before a live audience.
