Davenport North High School is a high school built in the north side of Davenport, Iowa. North High School was established in 1985 in the building that was formerly Wood Junior High. In the fall of 1994, 9th graders were added to the school. In January of 1997, a new gymnasium was completed along with a Classroom of the Future and an ICN room. In the year 2001, a new cafeteria and a new auditorium were completed. The school follows a block schedule which is 4x4 schedule,and 2 championships in high school Ice Hockey
A famous North graduate is Ricky Davis, who led North to two state high school basketball tournament appearances and went on the play one year at the University of Iowa before embarking on a long NBA career with numerous teams.
