David John "Dave" Shearer (born Inverness, 16 October 1958) is a Scottish former professional football (soccer) player. His clubs included Middlesbrough, Scunthorpe United and Gillingham.[1] He made over 230 Football League appearances. He is the brother of fellow former professional Duncan Shearer.
