Dave Peterson, alias The Prodigy (born September 6, 1986) is a super middleweight professional boxer from Minnesota.

Peterson is a native of Mounds View, Minnesota.

Dave Peterson made his professional debut in May of 2003 at the age of 17, knocking out veteran Terry Jesmer in the second round. Peterson didn't fight again for nearly a year, and has fought only occasionally since. However he remains undefeated and by the fifth fight of his career he was fighting at the legendary Blue Horizon fight club in Philadelphia. As of November 2007 Peterson's professional record was 9 wins (6 by knockout) and no losses. ^[1] Peterson's next fight is scheduled to be on April 26, 2008 at Graham Arena in Rochester, Minnesota. Peterson is a fighter of the southpaw stance.
