Dave Osborne started playing guitar at 13 and as a guitar / vocalist and songwriter first performed on radio in 1977 with the band “ Sliced bread” . Dave Osborne then formed the pop / rock band “ Feedback” in 1978 before in 1980 becoming bass guitar / vocalist and songwriter in the blues trio “ Fireclown” . In 1981 Dave Osborne formed the progressive rock group “13th Candle” and in 1983 wrote the rock opera “ October man”. The same year he went on the road with the covers trio “ Photo finish” . Dave Osborne then worked in two more covers acts “ Day and knight” show group 1985 - 1986 and “Buska” trio 1986 -1988. In 1986 Dave Osborne worked with pop four piece “De bois” and made his first of many appearances on television . In 1988 Dave Osborne was invited to join the “ prefab theatre group” as musical director and composer and while with the company wrote the music for “ Wythenshawe stories” the musical.
Dave Osborne returned to being a guitar /vocalist and songwriter in 1989 when he formed the pop duo “ Get this “ before returning to education in 1992 to study music composition , Classical guitar , Piano, music technology , poetry and integrated arts for a B A honours in creative arts . Dave Osborne also formed “Cloud 9” group and trio 1993-1997 who were voted best group and trio of 1993 and 1994 by the Manchester and Salford , North Staffs , and Ashton and District entertainment federations.
In 1995 Dave Osborne was commissioned by Henbury high school Macclesfield to write a rock ballet “From the source to the sea”. Then in 1996 Dave Osborne wrote and arranged two songs for the Booth centre drop in band cd with profits going to the charity life share. At the start of 1997 Dave Osborne formed “ Captain boogie” duo who were voted best duo of 1999 by the North Staffs entertainment federation . Dave Osborne also ran music work shops for Cheshire county council in 1998 and produced a single “Fly” for the teenage band “wonderwall” . In 2000 Dave Osborne built his own studio and started writing songs for other artistes including “ Kiss me one more” in 2003 for George Formby tribute artiste Max Adams . At present ( 2007 ) Dave is producing guitar parts for a major Karaoke supplier and records with The Dave Osborne band.
