Dave Nelson (born June 20, 1944) is a former Major League Baseball player and one of the current FSN broadcasters for the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team. He was the team's first base coach for four years prior to the end of his contract. He has developed many players, including Kenny Lofton, Scott Podsednik, Rickie Weeks, and many more.
In his playing career, Nelson played for the Cleveland Indians (1968-1969), Washington Senators/Texas Rangers (1970-1975), and the Kansas City Royals (1976-1977). As a player, he was best known as a base-stealing threat, stealing 51 bases in 1972.
Nelson scored the last run ever for the Washington Senators (now the Texas Rangers) at RFK stadium.
