Dave W. Mulder, Ed.D. is the Iowa State Senator from the 2nd District. He has served in the Iowa Senate since 2004. He received his BS from Morningside College and his MA and Ed.D. from the University of South Dakota and has worked as a professor/coach at Northwestern College since 1981.

Mulder currently serves on several committees in the Iowa Senate - the Agriculture committee; the Economic Growth committee; the Human Resources committee; and the Education committee, where he is the ranking member.
