David McCabe(born David Alan McCabe 1980 in Liverpool) is the lead vocalist and guitarist of the English rock band, The Zutons.

He was educated at Prescot School in Merseyside. According to the Guardian website, McCabe was originally in a special school, until he was expelled, apparently for forcibly cutting off a female classmate's hair, An incident which reportedly led to him acquiring the nick name 'Mad Dog', a nickname that would eventualy lead to him being known as 'the dog' or even 'the hound' by some of his closer friends

Dave McCabe is alumni of Prescot School, Knowsley, which he left in 1997.

Dave McCabe is often seen cycling on a miniature bicycle along the streets of Woolton Village
