Dave Ford (born December 29, 1956) is a former pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles.
A solidly built, 6'4" Cleveland native, Ford threw a fastball, knuckle curve, changeup, and slider. In his Major League debut, he shut out Chicago for 8-1/3 innings and won 1-0. Primarily a long reliever who'd get a spot start, he appeared in career-high 25 games in 1980.
Ford started his career in the minor league with Bluefield and in 1976 he was named Southern League’s Pitcher of the Year while playing for Charlotte. Ford pitched in the Majors for the Orioles from 1978 until 1981.
