Dave Edler

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dave Edler (born August 5, 1956, in Sioux City, Iowa) is a former Major League Baseball player and Mayor of Yakima, Washington.

Edler played third base for the Seattle Mariners from 1980-1983.

I believe that Yakima is the best place in the world to live, work, and play. Yakima is blessed with a mild climate, an increasingly diverse economy, and an abundance of activities.

Edler is currently the senior pastor at Yakima Foursquare Church.

[edit] Trivia

  • Edler is accredited with saying this quote: "Next to the catcher, the third baseman has to be the dumbest guy out there. You can't have any brains to take those shots all day."[1]
