Dave Bruderly

Dave Bruderly, an environmental engineering consultant who ran and lost against incumbent, Cliff Stearns (R), for Florida's 6th congressional district seat see Florida U.S. House election, 2006. He is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Marine Engineering and of Columbia University with an ocean engineering degree. Bruderly is a Democrat running in a six-county District that includes Alachua, Bradford, Clay, Duval, Lake, Levy, Marion and Gilchrist Counties.

Bruderly had run for U.S. House District 6 in 2002, 2004 and 2006, losing to the incumbent each time. He has been a midshipmant cadet for the United States Merchant Marine Academy and has held various positions in the United States Navy Reserve. He has worked since 1974 for three different environmental engineering firms.
