Davar (Hebrew: דבר, meaning thing or "word") was a Hebrew language daily newspaper published in the British Mandate of Palestine and Israel from 1925 until 1994. It was established by Berl Katznelson, who was its editor until his death in 1944. Katznelson was replaced as editor by Zalman Shazar who was later to become the President of the State of Israel. It belonged to, and was politically aligned with, the Histadrut labor union.
