Beside one of the significant independence declaration site, Merdeka Square also infamous for its poorly maintain underground, and the infamous city councils moral police ruling(couple holding hands will be fine by the city councils moral police). In year 2003, flood destroy all the shop locate underground. Today, the Merdeka Square underground are occupied as car park and prone to submerge by flash floods. --Sltan 18:03, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
