Datyane & Jiwhale are the small towns in Niphad Taluka, Nashik District of Maharashtra, India, situated on the bank of river Banganga and on Ozar ( Mig)-Kasabe Sukena connecting road. It shares borders with Narayangaon (Kherawadi) to the south, Shirasgaon to the north, Dixi and Ozar to the west and Owne and Theragaon to the east. The population of this farming community is slightly over 3000. Major crops include grapes, sugarcane, onions, vegetables, wheat, jwar, bajra, ground nuts, and pulses. The town is well known for its skilled grape-farm labour. There is a no scarcity of water in the farm land, farmers have access to irrigation supported by Kolhapur-type bonds and wells and Gangapur left canal ( Barmahi). A few of the larger farmers also make use of irrigation siphons. In town, the Gram Panchayat, primary & High School of Maratha Vidyaprasarak Samaj are there. The village is in vicinity of both of the taluka's sugar factories and to the Hindustan Areonotics Limited Ozar. There is a belief that the names of thes towns (Datyane & Jiwhale ) are from Ramayan Age. At the time of Ramayana when God Ram killed the demon Marich the teeth of the Marich fall on one side of the River and the Tongue fall on other side of the Banganga River. In Sanskrit Teeth is called as Dant and Tongue is called as Jiwha. In Marathi Dant is Daat and Jiwha is Jibha. In this manner Datyane name came from Dant to Daat and finally to Datyane and Jiwhale name came from Jiwha to Jiwhale.
