Data Records
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Data Records is a fully owned subsidiary label of Ministry Of Sound
What began life as an opportunist idea for an embryonic “feeder” label has since grown into the headline label of the UK’s Top Independent Record Company spawning numerous No.1 chart and airplay hits, credible crossover tracks and quirky videos that have united a nation.
Regardless of musical persuasion, Data has time and again achieved the rare feat of crossing over into the Top 5 some of the most unlikely of music – think Zombie Nation (the first ever Electro-Trance hit?), Storm (the hardest ever record in the Top 3?), Benny Benassi (just plain weird), or Eric’s looped up genre-defining smash…Whilst doing so they have supplied a nation with some of its most adored visual distraction and firmly ingrained a Data Records track in your musical memory.
