"Sir Francis and Lady Dashwood at West Wycombe Park". Painted in 1776 by Dance the lady portrayed is likely to be not Lady Dashwood who died in 1769, but Frances Barry, Dashwood's mistress with whom he lived after the death of his wife. This work of art is 237 years old and thus in public domain by virtue of age
