Das Alte Karussell (English translation: "The Old Carousel") was the first Swiss entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1956 - the only Contest at which two entries per country were allowed - performed in German by Lys Assia.
The song was performed second in the contest (after the Netherlands's Jetty Paerl with "De Vogels Van Holland"). It is unknown what position the song finished, as only the winning song was announced.
