Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Australia (continent). Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you.
Your edit was inappropriate in tone. Do not introduce commentary into articles; please have regard for the authorative reference cited - if you wish to make a differing assertion please cite a reference supporting your view and discuss on the talk page first. Please review the policy at Wikipedia:No original research --Golden Wattle talk 01:00, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
I beseech you, in the bowels of Christ, think it possible you may be mistaken.
—Oliver Cromwell, Oliver Cromwell, 3 August, 1650
The article cites an authoritative academic source in support of its position, and a quote from that source is given on the talk page. Did you read it? Do you understand it? Are you sure that you really understand what a continent is? Do you understand that a continent is not the same as a geopolitical region?
If you can find an equally authoritative source that disagrees with the current source by claiming that Papua New Guinea is not part of the Australian continent, just watch how fast we correct the article!
But if you continue to insert your inappropriately toned editorial into the article, without any sources to back you up, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia on grounds of edit warring and vandalism.

[edit] Warning
Please stop. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's NPOV policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did to Asia, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Golden Wattle talk 00:08, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your comment in the Australiasia article - Papua New Guinea is part of Asia...
Consider this. What makes it asian? That's nothing more than an arbitrary classification imposed by human beings... just like the classification that makes it apart of the arbitrary geographic classification of Australasia. Far Queue 01:22, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
