Hwyl, Darren. You seem to be very active on the Wales pages. Do you know that there is also a Welsh language wikipedia? Deb 11:42, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
I'm aware of the Wicipedia project and have made a few minor contributions. I'm trying to familiarise myself with presenting material using the Wikipedia software before venturing too far. --Darren Wyn Rees 20:06, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Tower Colliery
Hi. Have you considered asking the webmaster of welshcoalmines.co.uk if he'd allow the use of the pictures of Tower on his site? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.159.113.207 (talk) 17:24, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the suggestion. I will email the webmaster and hopefully he may contribute something to Wikipedia. --Darren Wyn Rees (talk) 17:36, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Caradog
Hi. I notice you put a picture of the Caradog statue in "Aberdare". I added a link to him, but can't find any article on him, and he's not otherwise mentioned in the article. I'm ashamed to say I don't know who he was. If you know anything about him, it might be worth starting an article on the redlink, before someone pipes it to "Griff Rhys Jones"! . . . .LinguisticDemographer 21:36, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- Good idea. Basic Caradog article created. --Darren Wyn Rees 21:09, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Newport photo
Did you add the photo? Its a great addition. Fergananim 16:23, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Lord Elis-Thomas
Thanx for uploading the image of Lord Elis-Thomas!! I added him to the History of Plaid Cymru and also the Presiding Officer of the National Assembly for Wales page. But can you tell me, what is the mark on his face? Is it a birth mark? Drachenfyre 01:46, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the positive feedback on the photo. It was cropped from another photo taken at the only rock gig played inside the old (Crickhowell) Welsh Assembly building in the late 1990s. I am unable to comment on Lord Elis Thomas' appearance. --Darren Wyn Rees 19:17, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

- Im just glad we got an image of him! I wrote to tbe Plaid website to see if they will release any additional images for free use on Wikipedia, but no response yet. (Though an image for Adam Price appeared within 24 hours of my sending a message to him!)Drachenfyre (talk) 19:31, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Dare Valley Country Park
Hi Darren,
Would you include Greenmeadow Riding Stables in the amenities part. Or is it completely private / irrelevant?
Cheers,
Ade —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ade1982 (talk • contribs) 17:47, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, please make a note of it in the article. Green Meadow Riding Stables is a private business situated within part of the Park. --Darren Wyn Rees (talk) 14:43, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Ann Clwyd photo
I'm not very good with images, but I'll have another look at it later this evening, as I'm just off out. Deb (talk) 18:47, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Max Boyce
Hi there Darren, I read your message on the Max Boyce page with interest. You may well be right - I myself have found very little information on Max's childhood or his family's movements, but if you're able to track down any extra material that can be referenced in the article, that'd be fantastic. I virtually wrote the entire article, but I've simply run out of verifiable things to add! Cheers, Rob Lindsey (talk) 06:11, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Pierhead building

[edit] blog links
Hi, I've removed a number of links that you've been inserting to pages on your blog, because of things said at WP:SPS (self-published sources) and at External links#Links normally to be avoided (see number 12). Thought I ought to let you know; I trust you won't take it personally. Regards, — Alan✉ 11:27, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Aberdare Girls School
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Aberdare Girls School, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
